OPEN CHARGE ALLIANCE – GENERAL
What is the Open Charge Alliance and what does it do? In this webinar we will discuss the activities of the alliance, OCPP in general and what kind of companies are involved. The webinar is also a great way to ask any question you have about the Open Charge Alliance. Growing fast with more than 180 active members, we would like to give everyone the opportunity to explore open standards and innovations for Charging Station Management Systems and Charging Stations.
Making the jump: Industry Experiences with progressing from OCPP 1.6 to OCPP 2.0.1
Progressing from OCPP 1.6 to OCPP 2.0.1, what does it take? In this webinar we will take a look at best practices and lessons learned from the industry. We will start with an introduction on the differences between OCPP 1.6 and OCPP 2.0.1 followed by presentations by industry experts EVBox, Alfen, Vector and Driivz.
Let your car provide the power. Use cases of V2X
In this webinar we will present the work that is being done in the V2X Task Group of the Open Charge Alliance. This Task Group of OCA members is developing OCPP support for vehicle-to-grid use cases. Dreev and BMW/Kostal have created pilot implementations of the new draft specification and their experiences have been used to further improvements. After an overview of the V2X specification by OCA, Dreev will talk about the frequency control use case they have implemented, and BMW and Kostal will talk about the use case of local load-balancing with V2X.
How to implement CTEP regulations for California
Whitepaper update “OCPP & California Pricing Requirements” The California DMS' CTEP regulations set requirements for the display of cost and energy usage at a charging station. OCA is publishing an update of their whitepaper about this topic to meet the latests requirements.
Introduction to the OCPP Plugfests
For everyone interested in participating in one of our future Plugfests, the Open Charge Alliance organised a special Webinar on how to enter, what requirements we need for your connection and how testing is set up. We have noticed that our plugfests are growing and we need to set some rules to let everyone get the most out of their tests. This video is a recording of this webinar and will guide you through the process.
CHAdeMO in combination with OCPP
On December 3rd, the CHAdeMO Association and the Open Charge Alliance hosted a free webinar about CHAdeMO in combination with OCPP. During the webinar a white paper was presented which describes the interaction between CHAdeMO and OCPP on a Charging Station and how information from the CHAdeMO protocol can be communicated to a Charging Station Management System via OCPP. This white paper and more information can be found here.
Improved OCPP 1.6-J Security Whitepaper
In 2018 the Open Charge Alliance published the OCPP1.6 Security White Paper. This white paper describes how the security enhancements, introduced in OCPP 2.0, can be used, on top of OCPP 1.6-J, in a standardized way. In this webinar we will guide you through this whitepaper and will answer all questions you might have!
Transaction Mechanisms in OCPP
The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) describes the information exchange between a charging station and a charging station management system during a charging transaction. In this webinar we will explain the transaction mechanisms in OCPP1.6 and OCPP2.0.1, the differences between them and examples of how to apply these mechanisms to best suite your purpose or business case.
OCPP & California Pricing Requirements
Starting in 2021 the State of California will adopt new requirements for informing EV drivers of the price of charging. This webinar will show you how to use OCPP to address these new requirements.
Customization Options in OCPP
The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) is the global standard for communication between charging stations and charging station management systems. It is a living protocol – created and evaluated by OCA-members - that is focussed on innovation and ease-of-use. OCPP also gives the opportunity to customize your own implementation. In this Webinar we will explain the different approaches that can be used to exchange custom information. We will explain the customization options in OCPP1.6 and OCPP2.0.1. This will help you choose the right kind of customization for your purpose!
OCPP 2.0.1 TUTORIAL
This webinar presents an overview of the latest version of OCPP, OCPP 2.0.1. What are the differences between the OCPP versions? What functionalities are available? After presenting an overview, this webinar will dive deeper into the protocol, providing a tutorial for people new to OCPP 2.0.1.
OCA CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
This webinar introduced the new OCPP certification program for OCPP 1.6. Have your OCPP implementation tested by independent test labs and get your OCPP certificate!
OCPP 1.6 COMPLIANCE TESTING TOOL
The Open Charge Alliance has developed a Testing Tool for OCPP 1.6, the OCPP Compliance Testing Tool (OCTT). The current version of the OCTT can be used to self-test OCPP 1.6 implementations and is also used for the conformance test that is part of the OCPP Certification Program. The tool supports both SOAP and JSON and can be used to test a Charging Station Management System (Central System) and a Charging Station. In this webinar on overview of the tool is presented, including the prerequisites for running it, functionalities and of course a demonstration of the OCTT in action!
