OCA and its Working Groups
.
Within the Open Charge Alliance we have various active Working Groups. Each Working Group has its own chair who leads the group. Within a Working Group different Task Groups can be created to investigate a specific topic. The number of Task Groups can vary over time, depending on the demand of the industry or topics that needs more investigation.
Currently we have the following Working Groups and Task Groups active:
.
> Technology WorkingGroup (TWG)
In this group all the questions, comments, remarks and the new developments will be discussed for the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) and Open Smart Charging Protocol (OSCP)
OCPP V2X Task Group
In this Task Group we focus on the technical development of V2X use cases for the future version of OCPP.
OCPP & Fueling Stations Task Group
The purpose of this Task Group is to investigate how OCPP can be used to integrate Charging Stations within a fueling station infrastructure.
OCPP Networking Task Group
Goal of this Task Group is to find a solution for local communication and for discovering the topology of a local cluster, witha minimal impact on backwards compatibility.
> Compliancy Working Group (CWG)
This group focus on the OCPP Compliance Testing Tool (OCTT) and OCPP certification program. The OCTT supports private testing on both Charging Station Management System and Charging Station side. The certification program is open for OCPP 1.6 and in development for OCPP 2.0.1.
> Promotional Working Group (PWG)
This group will be consulted for commercial questions via mail or when necessary via a conference call.
Participating in the OCA Working Groups and Task Groups gives you influence on the functionality and technical deployment of the protocols and will give you possibilities to exchange experiences and gain knowledge. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Join a workgroup
As an OCA member you can join these different Working Groups and its Task Groups and participate in the meetings and communication channels. You will have access to our document management system, which will give you access to documents related to the different Working Groups. Each Working Group or Task Group has its own meeting cycles. In our event calender on the website or, for members, in our document management system you can find all meeting schedules. You can download an iCalendar file from our document management system to add the meetings easily to your own calendar.
