The Open Charge Alliance has released a new version of the White Paper “Improved security for OCPP 1.6-J”. This is the third edition of this White Paper. The document is now available for download. The new edition of this White Paper offers a clarification of the fields of the CertificateHashDataType.
The clarification in the new “Improved security for OCPP 1.6-J” White Paper was needed since in practice it turned out that the current description of these fields was ambiguous and could lead to non-interoperable implementations because content and representation were not clearly specified.
The Open Charge Alliance advises implementers of OCPP 1.6-J to no longer implement previous versions of this document and only use edition 3 going forward.
