Due to the success of our webinar sessions in April this year, the Open Charge Alliance (OCA) is delighted to host a new series of interesting and inspiring online events regarding OCPP and open standards. Information about OCPP and the Alliance itself is in high demand. We have gathered feedback from our members and developed presentations about some current topics and innovations regarding OCPP1.6 & 2.0.1, security and customization options.
Parallel to the webinar sessions, the OCA hosts an OCPP 1.6 Plugfest (48-Hours round the clock global test marathon) for developers and implementers of Charging Stations and Charging Station Management Systems.
On July 7th and 8th we will host the following webinars:
Customization Options in OCPP
The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) is the global standard for communication between charging stations and charging station management systems. It is a living protocol – created and evaluated by OCA-members - that is focussed on innovation and ease-of-use. OCPP also gives the opportunity to customize your own implementation.
In this Webinar we will explain the different approaches that can be used to exchange custom information. We will explain the customization options in OCPP1.6 and OCPP2.0.1. This will help you choose the right kind of customization for your purpose!
OCPP 1.6-J Security White Paper
In 2018 the Open Charge Alliance published the OCPP1.6 Security White Paper. This white paper describes how the security enhancements, introduced in OCPP 2.0, can be used, on top of OCPP 1.6-J, in a standardized way. In this webinar we will guide you through this whitepaper and will answer all questions you might have!
Transaction Mechanisms in OCPP
The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) describes the information exchange between a charging station and a charging station management system during a charging transaction. In this webinar we will explain the transaction mechanisms in OCPP1.6 and OCPP2.0.1, the differences between them and examples of how to apply these mechanisms to best suite your purpose or business case.
OCPP & the State of California 2021 pricing requirements
Starting in 2021 the State of California will adopt new requirements for informing EV drivers of the price of charging.
This webinar will show you how to use OCPP to address these new requirements.
If you are involved in OCPP and want to be the first to know about upcoming events, participate in workgroups and be on top of everything regarding OCPP, please consider joining the Alliance!
