OCTT Update: OCPP 2.0.1 Testing Tool ready for Beta Testing

OCTT Update: OCPP 2.0.1 Testing Tool ready for Beta Testing

The OCA is currently developing the official testing tool for OCPP 2.0.1 (OCTT 2.0.1) has now entered the Beta Testing phase. This means the tool will become available to a select group of OCA members to test their implementation with the new tool. The Working Group wants to gather as much information possible about testing new OCPP 2.0.1 implementations with the new tool before it enters the definite stage of going public.

The OCTT Working group has confirmed the development of the tool is completed and is now being tested. In March, Alpha testing started with five parties involved in the working group. The teams made use of (TTCN-3) testcases; in total approximately 400 Charging Stations (CS) and 225 Charging Station Management Systems (CSMS). They are currently testing against 3 CS and 2 CSMS.

During development the working group has experienced the complexity of testing implementations that are still work-in-progress. Therefor much more testing experience is welcomed. This week the Beta Testing has started with a larger group of participants (approx. 10). This phase is expected to take 2 - 3 months during which selected Open Charge Alliance (OCA) members have access to the beta version of the OCPP 2.0.1. Compliance Test Tool and can use it to test their implementation.

The working group aims for a public release of the OCTT2.0.1 Testing Tool mid 2022 and start certification before the end of 2022.

If you have an OCPP 2.0.1 CS or CSMS you would like to test, please notify us and we can check if we can add you to the Beta Test. Send an e-mail to info@openchargealliance.org for more information.
