Plugfest OCPP 2.0 very successful21 March 2018
On March 14 & 15 a group of eager members of the Open Charge Alliance (OCA) met at the ElaadNL headquarters in Arnhem (The Netherlands) to test their latest Proof of Concept to put OCPP 2.0 into practice. This Plugfest with participants from Germany, France, Belgium, Israel among others, was a great success. A lot of knowledge was shared and OCPP 2.0 worked perfectly. We are very excited about these positive outcomes and are ready to do more testing regarding security, smart charging and 15118.
The purpose of Plugfest was to validate the specifications of the OCPP 2.0 protocol before releasing them publicly. The gathering was attended by the manufactorers of the charging stations – Alfen, Innovates and Vedecom – and the service and software providers - Driivz and Innogy – who each implemented their part of the OCPP 2.0 specs.
“During the tests, there were no major issues found,” said OCA projectmanager Marc van Dijk: “The specs were clear, and the implementation went very well. This gives a solid foundation for future testing.”
OCA is planning to release OCPP2.0 in April of this year. The implementation of the new specs will proceed after that. If parties are interested in joining the OCA for testing and implementing, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
