Co-located with the CharIN Testival IN Arnhem, Netherlands.
Last month (October 30 & 31) we held our two-day OCPP 2.0 Plugfest co-located with the CharIN Testival in Arnhem and we would like to thank all participants. It was a great event with interesting and good testing. We saw a lot of happy faces, interesting new implementations.
What is an OCPP
During an OCA Plugfest Charging Station manufacturers bring their OCPP 2.0 implementation running on a Charging Station or as a simulator on a laptop. Charging Station Management System manufacturers similarly bring their OCPP 2.0 implementation operating locally on a laptop or in the Cloud. In this way the engineers can sit next to each other and work closely together to test their implemented OCPP 2.0 use cases and learn from each other. During a Plugfest we use a round robin planning with test slots of 2 hours which gives all companies the opportunity to test with each other. This way of testing adds a lot of value for the companies that are testing and allows them to gain insight in the interoperability and maturity of their implementation. Plugfest?
Triple Test add on
Besides the OCPP 2.0 Plugfest where we tested the communication between Charging Station and Charging Station Management System the participants also had the opportunity to test their implementation in a triple test setup. In this triple test setup we tested the communication between EV and Charging Station and Charging Station Management System based on ISO 15118 and OCPP 2.0 communication. These tests were aimed at giving an even better insight in the interoperability of systems in an EV ecosystem.
Do you also want to join an OCPP 2.0 or OCPP 1.6 Plugfest? Please follow us on social media or keep a good eye on our website if you don’t want to miss our announcements. Or become an OCA member to support us and stay tuned!
